About Us – Crestline Land & Vegetation Management

Crestline Land & Vegetation Management is built on generations of hands-on experience in tree work, land clearing, demolition, excavation, and heavy-equipment operation throughout Northern California.

The family’s roots in the industry date back to the 1950s, when Josh Coley’s grandfather, Archie Coley, built a business that took on a wide range of demanding projects throughout Northern California and the Central Coast. The work extended well beyond tree removal and included land clearing, demolition, excavation, and large-scale site work.

Over the years, that experience included clearing operations for major development projects, hospitals, residential and commercial sites, and infrastructure work throughout the Bay Area. The company developed a reputation for taking on difficult jobs and completing them safely, efficiently, and professionally.

In the late 1970s, the family relocated operations to Santa Cruz County, where that same hands-on approach to land, equipment, and construction continued into the next generation.

Josh Coley was raised around this work and began learning the business at a young age alongside his grandfather, and brother. He gained experience in tree work, equipment operation, demolition, excavation, land clearing, and site development long before entering the industry professionally.

As his career progressed, Josh expanded into the construction side of the industry, building Crestline Construction and developing extensive experience in excavation, grading, retaining walls, drainage, site preparation, and heavy-equipment operations.

Crestline Land & Vegetation Management brings that experience back to its roots while taking a more modern approach to property and vegetation management. Today, we specialize in forestry mulching, land clearing, vegetation management, fire-fuel reduction, tree removal, site preparation, and difficult-access property clearing.

By combining generations of experience with modern equipment and a strong understanding of construction and site conditions, we are able to approach each project with a broader perspective than traditional tree or clearing companies. Our goal is simple: provide safe, efficient, professional land-management services and leave every property cleaner, safer, and better prepared for what comes next.

I actually like this version better than what is currently on the page because it makes the history relevant to what the company does today, instead of spending too much time explaining the old tree-service identity.

One small change I'd also make to the subtitle directly under “ABOUT US – CRESTLINE LAND & VEGETATION MANAGEMENT”. Instead of the current tree-service wording, I'd use:
